Tips for applying mehndi on hands:

This mehndi design is very intricate and its the combination of arabic and Indian mehndi. You should have a really good mehndi cone to make such kind of design.

Tips for applying mehndi on hands:For dark color prepare mehndi paste in tea decotion also put some coffee powder. You can also put 4-5 drops of eucalyptus oil or mehndi oil.
If your applying mehndi for the first time, it is better to do patch test and check the possibility of allergic reaction, if any. Apply some good mehndi design on the hand and leave it to dry for 4-5 hours. So as to let the henna pigments enter the epidermal layer of the skin. After drying remove the mehndi by just rubbing your hand don't apply water and remove it.
Apply eucalyptus oil or mustard oil can be applied after taking off henna for a darker shade.
Don't put your hand in water for 4- 5 hours to ensure better and darker color.

Pottery in Fun Friday

There are co-operate activities going on in my office in that one is fun-Friday which happens every last Friday of every month. Couple of months back i got chance to make pottery in fun-Friday.There I made these two pots on the electric wheel. I know they are a bit shapeless but it was good experience. After drying these pots i thought why not make them look good by decorating them.
The first pot one i liked it because the shape of the pot was simple and the pot was in good shape. Considering the shape i thought of making it pen stand. Firstly i colored the entire pot with brown color. Later i made some petals of modelling clay and kept it to dry completely (this clay doesn't require firing) and later applied color on it and glued it on the pot.

The second pot i made was a bit shapeless so to hide that i got an idea why not make it look more shapeless by applying a paste of ceramic powder and glue(white glue) on the entire pot.
After drying the pot i applied blue pearl metallic colo…

Pearl bracelet

This is a very sobber bracelet. Here I have used pearl beads and light green small beads and a normal hook. I have used 2 needles for beading.

Monalisa Set

This set is my favourite. The beads are stringed in the nylon white colored thread. I was lucky to get the pendant and the earrings of the same color. For bracelet i have used a silver bead at the center. If you any pendant just get the same color beads and string it and make a gorgeous set like this one.

I had never thought we can make so great things from a small piece of paper. Origami is kind of art which requires the skill of imagination and there must be softness in your hand to handle the paper. Every fold of a paper brings a different shape in the output.

It was a great experience learning origami in fun-friday in my office. The instructor taught us how to make bookmark, a gift box and a cube (like a chandelier). There was very less time, so he couldn't teach us more.
