Merry Christmas and New year card

Welcome back, After my holiday series 2014 this is my first post. Again I have a card with christmas and new year theme. The card is inspired by the colors from Creative colors challenge #26. The colors are green, red, white + glitter. I have used gold embossing for the berries and used gold glossy cardstock as the base of the card. Holiday card series 2014 - Day 25

I just can't believe I actually did 25 posts for this month with making all christmas cards. Hope you all enjoyed and got inspired.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 24

For today I have two christmas tags. Have used the negative diecut piece to make the tags. 
Entering this card crafter's cafe blog challenge #96 - CAS gift tag as these tags perfectly fit the criteria of the challenge.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 23

I loved this card but the vellum got warped after heat embossing. Added a few white enamel dots. Have used wow gold embossing powder. The base is kraft cardstock.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 22

Sending holiday wishes card for today. Used lawn fawn's stitched snowflake die and twine. Added a few sequences to add the finishing touches.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 21

I loved this Lawn Fawn's stitched snowflakes. Have created the night sky background using seedless preserve and salty ocean distress inks.  The sentiment is white embossed.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 20

Today's card is very simple. White embossed three baubles on green blue and red cardstock. After embossing hand cut the baubles and adhered it with foam tape on the kraft cardbase. Have white embossed the sentiment too.

A shaker card for today.  Have inked the background with salty ocean distress ink. Silver embossed the reindeer 

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 18

This card is quite simple I have stuck the wooden snowflakes directly on the cardbase. I have gold embossed the sentiment which is from pti stamps. This card is inspired by the wooden christmas tree  from the Cure for monday blues challenge #36 .  Also entering this card for Caslogy #126- snow

runway inspired

This card is inspired from the Runway inspired challenge #74 - Escada. Used justrite background stamp for this card. Inked the stamp with mustard seed and spice marmalade distress ink sprayed some water and stamped it on white cardstock. At the bottom of the card added a strip of glitter paper from DCWV which matches with the clutch in the inspiration pic. Have stuck the white stamped panel using foam tape. The sentiment is die cut from mft dies and added glossy accents over it and also added a few sequences to add finishing touches. Holiday card series 2014 - Day 17

A joy tag card for today. The background is created using the winnie walter stencil and texture paste. Have added a salty ocean distress ink to the texture paste. Have stapled a piece of ribbon.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 16

For day 16 I made this christmas card inspired by the card concept - silent night neutrals. I have created a clean and layered card. Used kraft cardstock as the base. Used lawn fawn's snowflake dies. Distressed the base CS at the areas where snowflake shape is seen through the white cardstock. Have silver embossed the sentiment and added a few silver sequences.  Also entering this card for Simon says stamps wednesday challenge- bling it on and Lawnscaping challenge #96 - merry christmas

Red poppies

I am using Retrosketches #145 sketch and colors from the ColourQ - 271 for today's card. I have used MFT LJD - pretty poppies stamp. Have popped up the poppies using foam dots. For the background I have sprinkled the distress ink using a thin brush. Also entering this card for sentimental sunday's - Anything goes

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 15

For this card I have created a night background with seedless preserve and salty ocean distress inks. Sprinkled some pearlised water. The reindeer and the sentiment are silver embossed.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 14

Glittery wooden christmas ornaments. The tree branch is from a stamp called gently seasoned stamp   from paper smooches.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 13

For day 13. I made a winter card using the Cas(e) this sketch #103. I have created a silver embossed background using the winnie walter stamp. Have used SSS lipstick red ink and a few sequences to give the finishing touch. Since I have used silver I am entering this card for CASolgy - silver and Simon says stamp wednesday challenge - bling it on

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 12

I have created a cozy night scene on my card today. Half of the sentiment is stamped and half is handwritten. I liked this sentiment which is used so much these days for the christmas greetings thought of using it on my card too but I didn't have stamp for it so I wrote it by myself. penny black glory of modesty stamp

Here I have a card made using penny black's glory of modesty background stamp. Have white embossed the background stamp onto distress watercolor paper. For coloring I have used seedless preserve distress ink. Mixed water, ink and perfect pearls to give a pearly shine. Entering this card for Virginia's View challenge -  All things distressed and since I have lots of embossing will play with Little tangles challenge - Embossing and again with Sentimental sunday's - Embossing (dry/wet)

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 11

Starting this week with christmas presents hope you all like this quite a simple one. For the first time I am using stampin up - playful pieces stamps. The sentiment is from pti stamps.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 10

With today's card I am playing along with Addicted to cas challenge - Dots and Addicted to stamps -photo inspiration. Inspired by the baubles and the gold ribbon from the photo inspirations. For this card I have used paper smooches gently seasoned clear stamp. Used various shades of greens to stamp the dots in triangular shape to form a christmas tree, stamped a few tiny stars to fill in the gaps between the dots. The large star at the top of tree and the sentiment is gold embossed. Have heat embossed the edges of the cardbase with gold just to add a little interest.  Here is the graphic image of the code word and the photo inspiration

Coloring with distress inks

Its my second post for this day my previous post was on Holiday card series 2014 - Day 9 This card I made using the Cas(e) this sketch - 102. Used penny black dahlias stamp set here. First stamped the dahlias with jet black archival ink onto tim holtz watercolor paper. Used distress inks to color the dahlias. Colored the entire background with spun sugar distress ink. Mixed seedless preserve, perfect pearls and water and sprinkled it on the card base with a thin brush.  The frame is diecut and used foam tape to adhere it. Since I have used distress inks I will play along with the Virginias view challenge #10 - All things distressed Here is the picture of Cas(e) this sketch #102

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 9

Today's christmas card is inspired from the Curtain call inspiration challenge - clearly christmas also playing for Sentimental Sunday's - Embossing(wet/dry) and The paper players black tie theme challenge- holiday projects that are fancy

For my card I used pti poinsettia clear stamp. Used silver embossing powder from hero arts. First embossed the poinsettia on 80lb vellum than colored on the back of vellum using copic colors. Hand cut the poinsettia and used foam tape to give dimension to it. For the background I used hero arts stencil and ranger's texture paste. Heat embossed the sentiment on a banner shaped piece and used foam tape to adhere it on the cardbase.

For day 8 I have got a christmas wreath.  First drew a circle with pencil and stamped avery elle laurels leaf branch in circular fashion and on the red berries I have added wink of stella clear glitter and glossy accents

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 7

I am back again with a gold embossed card today. Made a christmas card using pti poinsettia with a glittery green frame. Actually wanted to add foam tape for the frame but unfortunately I ran out of foam tapes and had to adhere it directly on the card base. Since I have used pti stamps entering this card make it monday 191 - glittered frame

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 6

Made a christmas tree with different shades of green strips. For the background I have stamped on the christmas and holiday sentiments with a few snow flakes.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 5

Giving a break to gold embossing and switched to white. Here is a cute snowman. I pressed the curved edges of white cardstock on versamark pad and heat embossed to give the effect of snow.

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 4

Quite a simple card for today. Have gold embossed the chevron pattern from hero arts and add distress ink. The word merry is first cut from lawn fawns alphabet die and later did gold embossing on it.

Today I have a quite a simple and clean card. The card mainly focuses on the gold embossed baubles. The black string is hand drawn. Entering this card for Addicted to stamps - CAS and Word art wednesday - anything goes

For the Day 2 I have gold embossed poinsettia flowers. First gold embossed the poinsettia on Tim holtz's watercolor paper. Used wow gold embossing powder. For coloring I have used distress inks mowed lawn and barn door. Entering this card for Virginia's View challenge #10

Holiday card series 2014 - Day 1

With the holiday season going on I will be sharing holiday cards for this month. From today I will share a holiday card each day for this december month. Today is day 1 and I am sharing a poinsettia card with unusual color combo with shades of pink and gray background.
